Iconic styles and design classics from the 1920s to the modern day

1930s

Designed by George Carwardine in 1932, the Anglepoise lamp with its three-point manoeuvrability has been a classic for over 70 years.

Striking geometric repeats are the hallmark of 1930s fabrics; this one was created by GP&J Baker in 1933 and is still popular today.
