I love the look of a wide-boarded bleached ash floor. Is it available in the UK? And is it possible to lay it in a kitchen with underfloor heating?

As a general rule, solid wood floors are not suitable for use with underfloor heating, unless specified by the manufacturer. Engineered boards, which are composed of at least three layers of wood laid with the grain of the centre layer running at right angles to the outer layers, are less prone to movement and most can be used with underfloor heating. Solid Floor, has duplex engineered boards in Ash White, 180mm wide, which can be used with underfloor heating. Ebony & Co, offers solid wood White Oiled Ash, above left, which comes with boards up to 305mm wide. If you are prepared to consider other timbers, you may like the pale Washed Lunar Larch, from Element 7. This is an engineered board in widths up to 340mm.
