I am looking for a pink, scented, repeat-flowering rose bush to use on a large scale in my garden design. I want to underplant the roses with Alchemilla mollis. Can you suggest any alternatives to the floribunda ‘Fragrant Delight'?
There are many pink scented roses you could try. ‘Comte de Chambord' is a 19th-century bush rose that produces full, cupped, mid-pink flowers and grows to around four feet tall. Rosa ‘Our Beth' (pictured) is a delicate, soft blush pink. Other ones to consider include ‘Jacques Cartier', ‘Saint Ethelburga' and ‘Louise Odier'. As an alternative to pink, the lime-green colour of Alchemilla mollis works well with deep purple, so try Rosa ‘Reine des Violettes'. All are available from Peter Beales.
