The tiles in my shower room are a mix of mid-blue, aqua and pale terracotta. The effect is bland so I?d like to use a colourful paper, possibly stripes, on one wall. Do you have any suggestions?
HF, Ripon.
Striped wallpaper might be a bit much against this random mix of coloured tiles as it would set lines against squares, which is not so easy on the eye. A non-geometric pattern that casually ties in with the tile colours could introduce drama too. Palm Leaves 66-2017 or the over-sized Orchid 66-4032 (left) are two designs that would add impact. Both are by Cole & Son, www.cole-and-son.com, and cost £42 a roll. For a softer look that picks up on one colour, in this case aqua, try Vitality 60610, which will add a metallic element as well. It costs £29.99 a roll from Harlequin, www.harlequin.uk.com.
