Chelsea 2009 - Marshalls' Living Streets garden

Catch the highlights from the Chelsea Flower Show 2009

One of the most innovative stands at Chelsea saw Ian Dexter creating his vision of a British street with four bespoke garden designs attached to each 'house'.

Together, Ian's Silver Gilt-winning design offers smart ideas for real urban gardens including pollution-busting planting (ornamental pear trees) and permeable paving (Marshalls Noxer Paving).

Other intelligent features maximises space with vertical planting and uses seating that doubles as storage for rubbish and recycling bins.

Style idea for you to try: Demarcate a garden path with coloured stones and plant small shrubs to add colour and interest.
