Gingerbread rum punch

Celebrate the festive season in style with this country-inspired cocktail

This warming winter tipple has hints of spicy gingerbread, perfect for Christmas entertaining.

Makes 1

2 fine slices peeled root ginger
1 tsp clear honey
2 measures Gingerbread Rum 
(from Marks & Spencer)
2 dashes fresh lime juice, plus 
wedges to serve
1 dash sugar syrup 
(3 parts sugar to 1 part water)
Ginger ale, such as Fever-Tree

Muddle the ginger in the base of a shaker. Add the honey and rum. Stir until the honey has dissolved. Pour in the lime juice and sugar syrup, shake with ice and strain into an ice-filled tumbler. Top up with ginger ale and garnish with lime wedges.
