* Thick polyester wadding (available at haberdashers)
* Fabric marker pen
* Tacking thread
* Fabric (we used Soubise, ref F5900-02, £65 a metre, Osborne & Little)
* Matching thread
* 20cm of narrow velvet ribbon
* Mother-of-pearl button
