Modern ways to hang wallpaper

‘Don’t be afraid to be more daring with your paper and patterns,’ says Karen Beauchamp, creative director at Cole & Son. ‘So many people only use wallpaper in a small space, such as their downstairs loo, then say they wish they’d used it somewhere else.’ Impact goes beyond the feature wall…

The jewel-box room has returned, and remains a strong trend. Don't just paper one wall with a statement wallpaper, go all out and paper every wall to really surround yourself with pattern and colour.

A great way of giving traditionally printed papers a modern twist is to cover the entire room in the same print, but choose a different colourway for one or two drops.

Why not use a stripe horizontally as well as vertically? And don’t restrict paper to just your walls – cover your ceiling or even furniture. Play with wallpaper and have fun!
