Pack the perfect suitcase.
The perfect suitcase
Squeezing in that extra pair of shoes and just one more top is an art form. Here are our top tips on making the most of your suitcase space.
Delicates
Lay delicate items of clothing as flat as possible with as few folds as you can. Place sheets of tissue paper between the folds to limit creases.
Wash bag
Pack your wash bag in the centre of your case so that it's well protected from knocks. It's a good idea to pack your toiletries in a plastic bag within the wash bag, so any spillages don't leak onto your clothes.
Trousers and skirts
Roll trousers and skirts to avoid creases or fold marks.
Labelling
Always ensure you have a luggage label on your case with your name, contact phone number and flight number, but it's advisable not to include your home address. A piece of coloured ribbon tied to the handle will also make it easier to identify your case on the carousel.
Shoes
Stuff shoes with small items of clothing to use up every inch of space. This also helps delicate shoes keep their shape.
