Sew an apron
Practical and attractive, this apron is easy to make.

1) Take two tea towels (each 50cm x 65cm) and 3m of contrasting grosgrain ribbon. Cut one of the tea towels into quarters and use one to make the bib – the other three can be used as cloths.
2) Hem cut edges on a sewing machine or with bonding tape.
3) Pin the bib to the centre of the longest length of the other tea towel, then sew.
4) Next, sew a piece of ribbon twice the length of the tea towel along the join between the two pieces, allowing an equal amount of overhang at each end for the waist tie.
5) Take another piece of ribbon, cut in two and sew at each top corner of the bib – this will make the neck tie.
