Plant up a teapot
Got an old teapot? Then why not turn it into a plant pot? With a little imagination, you can transform everyday items into unusual containers to smarten up your patio.
HERE'S HOW...
•Choose a selection of everyday household items - anything that can hold soil will work. Try a teapot, an enamel watering can or a metal bucket.
•To aid drainage, put a layer of broken crockery or broken up pieces of polystyrene at the bottom of each. Top with a good potting compost.
•Gently take your plants out of the plastic pots they came in. Create a well in the compost and push each plant into place, packing the compost around the sides, then water.
