After racking up a huge mobile phone bill on what should have been a free phone number I decided to finally get a handset for my landline. Now, I am hopelessly nostalgic when it comes to technology. Although I may want my broadband connection to operate at warp speed nine, I’d quite like it to look like a 1950s jukebox so I was smitten when I found this reconditioned telephone from Pedlars.
It is the perfect compromise between gorgeous vintage design and modern reliability. The phone has been given a thorough overhaul both inside and out and it is compatible with current BT systems. Simply plug into an existing telephone socket and you’re away! I’m saving my pocket money for a green and cream version (pictured), but the classic black model is very seductive too. If only they could do mobiles…
