• Potting compost or soil

• Seed mat

• Plant markers

How to do it

Prepare the soil in a deep seed tray, pot or patch of ground in your vegetable garden or flowerbed by making sure it’s well fertilised and moist. Lay down one of these biodegradeable herb seed mats, cover with only 3mm of soil and mark out with a wooden marker where you’ve planted it.
