Stay on top of the trends this spring with our blogs

Natural materials and pared-back folk details - our bloggers contemplate one of spring's biggest trends

laura

It might only be January (still!), but here at Housetohome.co.uk, we're already looking forward to Spring and, of course, what new and exciting design trends will emerge in the next few months. On HomeShoppingSpy, Ellie is staying one step ahead of the game by predicting the top three trends that will be gracing our homes this Spring -  my favourite by far has to be the Puritan trend. Simple and rustic with a strong focus on texture and natural materials, we think this is one style that will be running well into the summer and beyond.

One way of bringing a bit of rustic texture into your home is to add a wooden feature, like the ones swooned over by Jenn on Roomenvy. She's blogged about the stunning larch-clad feature walls in TV presenter Oliver Heath's eco-chic home, as featured in Livingetc.

If you're looking for a slightly more understated take on the trend however, lace accessories - like this gorgeous lace pendant light on Life.Style.etc - will give your home an instant folk factor. Or why not try adding some of these knitted storage jars to your kitchen shelves, as picked out by Rhoda on Country Days? I may have to invest in the whole set...
