Step 2
To make the scallops along the top edge of the bedspread, calculate the scallop size so that you end on a complete one each side. Draw round a suitably sized plate on the cardboard to make a template. Place the template on the panel top edge and mark around it with dressmaker’s chalk. Draw a line through the centres of the circles. Cut around the semi-circles through both layers of fabric. Unpin the panels.
Step 3
Place the back panel right side up. Pin and baste the piping cord along the scallops, lining up the raw edges.
