KN, Virginia Water.
There are three companies I can suggest where clients supply their own fabric; cotton, chintz, satin, silk and synthetic silks are all suitable. Louis Moreau, www.louismoreau.co.uk, has designs (left) from squares to triple diamonds and also hand-guided outline quilting, which uses stitching to outline elements of the design. It can take two to three days to outline-quilt a large bedcover. Quilting a double bedcover, including padding, lining and finishing with a bound or rolled edge, costs from £350. Cliq Designs, www.cliqdesigns.co.uk, has 22 computerised quilting designs, but it also does hand-guided outline quilting. Prices for a quilted, padded, lined double bedcover with a bound edge start at £200. Outliners, www.outliners.co.uk, offers 16 computerised quilting patterns as well as hand-guided outline quilting and bespoke designs. Prices for a finished padded, quilted double bedcover start at £170.
