I have a baby and want to make sure my kitchen is super-clean -- can you help?
My baby has started to crawl and whilst I try to keep the floor clean, she can get her hands into everything. I'm worried she'll pick up infections as she's always putting her hands in her mouth. What can I do?
It's true that little ones need extra attention, as their immune systems aren't yet fully developed, so are susceptible to picking up illnesses. Whilst you can't stop her from picking up every infection, making sure you keep your home hygienically clean will help to reduce the risk of her becoming ill.
With a young child on your hands it's likely that you're pretty busy, so when it comes to cleaning it's important that you have a product that is going to work hard for you all over the home. Domestos products are an ideal solution, as they kill all known germs on contact and are flexible enough to tackle a number of different hygiene hotspots.
You can use a dilute solution of DomestosThick Bleach to mop the kitchen floor and Domestos Bleach Cleaning Spray to wipe down handles and other surfaces they are likely to grab hold of, including the kitchen bin.

How can I keep my kitchen safe from germs?
I want to make sure my kitchen is as hygienic as possible -- what products are good to use?
The summer season and hot weather causes harmful food bacteria such as E.coli and Salmonella to grow more easily and can result in food poisoning. Up to 80 per cent of food poisoning cases occur each year in the home, but there are a few simple steps you can take to ensure that you prepare food hygienically:
1 Wipe down your chopping boards and work surfaces with Domestos Bleach Cleaning Spray after preparing food.
2 Wash your hands thoroughly before and after handling foods such as raw meat to avoid cross contamination.
3 Don't forget to give your utensils -- and barbecue grill if you're using it -- a thorough clean after use with Domestos Bleach Cleaning Spray.

Is my dishcloth a health risk?
I always use the same kitchen cloth for everything, but my friend told me that this isn't hygienic. Do I need to use lots of different cloths?
How many times have you finished washing the dishes and then used the same cloth to wipe down the kitchen surfaces? As tempting as this may be, this is one of the key causes of cross contamination within the kitchen. Germs love damp, dark places, which makes dishcloths the ideal environment. So to help avoid picking up nasty stomach bugs, caused by germs such as E.coli and Salmonella, make sure that you soak your cloths thoroughly in a dilute solution of Domestos Thick Bleach once a week and make sure that you use separate cloths for wiping down surfaces and cleaning the dishes.

How can I keep my kitchen plughole smelling fresh?
There is a horrible smell coming from our kitchen sink and it won't seem to go. What can I do?
Many people don't realise the damage they're potentially causing when food and hair slip down the plughole. Whether in the kitchen or bathroom, these deposits create food for germs to breed on, creating nasty smells that waft up through the plughole. Don't worry, help is at hand -- just a few glugs of Domestos Thick Bleach down your plugholes and overflows on a regular basis will help prevent blockages and keep them smelling fresh.

How can I clean my barbecue?
We love having barbecues when the weather is nice, but I can never seem to get the grill sparkling after we've used it and I'm worried I'm not cleaning it well enough. Is there a special cleaning product that's good for barbecues?
It's important to clean up thoroughly after a barbecue. Bleach is the only hygienic cleaner able to destroy all types of germs, so make sure that you clean all surfaces, including the barbecue grill and utensils, with Domestos Bleach Cleaning Spray and rinse thoroughly afterwards.
