Rating: 2/5
The Phillips Delizia has a sort of 1980s retro look thanks to the yellow ice-cream logo emblazoned on the front, which will not please anyone who appreciates hi-tech style in their kitchen appliances.
The machine is fiddly to assemble and use without the instructions and the water-filled disc must be frozen at least 24 hours in advance. It is very quiet and took a very short time form a soft-set ice-cream but the consistency became quite dry and lumpy and it needed a thorough stirring in a mixing bowl to become smooth.
Cleaning it requires a bit of patience as you have to wait for the disc to defrost in warm water.
