Sophie Conran, www.sophieconran.com, has used textured wallcoverings to solve decorating problems: “I have a small, dark hall and textured, glittery wallpaper from my Arthouse range at B&Q was the perfect way to liven it up. I have also found that if you cannot afford to replaster, one of the best ways to disguise a lumpy wall is to use a thick, patterned wallpaper (pictured). Avoid straight lines, as these will only draw attention to the problem area.”
