How big should my Christmas tree be?

Not sure what size Christmas tree to buy? Before you leave the house, take a look at the room where the tree will be displayed.

* If you want a large tree, measure the height of the ceiling to make sure that the tree you choose will be tall enough.

* If you're unsure of the exact height of the room, choose a tree that's on the tall side - you can always prune a couple of inches off the top if necessary when you get home.

* If the tree is to fill a window space, it's worth measuring the width too, so that you can be sure it won't seem dwarfed.
