Follow our easy steps to painting and decoupaging a plain MDF screen, using a wallpaper pattern that will complement your room.
Takes 4hrs (plus drying time)
What you'll need
Stand the screen on a protected floor and paint all sides with a coat of primer. Leave to dry for three hours. Once dry, paint with eggshell and leave to dry for another three hours before repeating with a second coat. Leave to dry overnight.
Lay the screen flat on the floor and arrange the wallpaper flowers so that they trail down from the curved top edge of the panels. When you are satisfied with the position of the decoupage designs, stick them carefully in place with PVA glue. Finally, brush the screen with a coat of varnish to seal the flowers in place and add a subtle sheen.
Give this a try - it's ideal for a bedroom or bathroom, plus we'd love to see what designs you decide to decoupage so share it with us on Facebook. Also, find lots more easy makes on our new Style at Home website.
