Quilted Velvet Garden wins gold at RHS Hampton Court Flower Show 2009
See the winning garden
Take a look at the gold medal winning show garden from 2009 RHS Hampton Court Flower Show.
Designed by Tony Smith, the garden consists of a rich carpet of over 30,000 minature oak trees surrounded by imposing oak structures. In the centre of the garden, three blue cedar trees stand over a horizontal tree trunk, which breaks up the sea of oak seedlings.
The garden represents Quilted Velvets commitment to replanting trees.
Ideas to take away Consider surrounding a bed of plants with a series of structures - possibly not to the same scale as this garden - but mini-posts could create a striking display.
