BoConcept's shapely pieces for 2013 feel classic and clever

BoConcept, purveyor of classic Danish style for 60 years, is set to continue in fine form in 2013.

The company's new collection delivers its signature craftsmanship and high-quality design - that's a given. But it's the way that the shapes of 2013 reference the past while feeling fresh and modern that has Livingetc hooked.

With more than a nod to Mad Men and Sixties forms, BoConcept's latest pieces exude more charm than Dan Draper, sitting elegantly in living rooms, dining rooms and home offices. 

We're already smitten by the Occa coffee table, £849 (centre), and the Imola swivel chair in Rust felt and brushed steel, £2,170 (far right), while the on-trend elegance of pieces like the Owowa highboard, £1,695 (far left), provide a modern couterpoint to retro shapes. 

The collection is available from September 2012, when we look forward to officially toasting the look of 2013. With a Draperesque whisky on the rocks, of course...
