The Floating Eco home could be yours for around £2million

Fancy a dream home on the river? A new type of eco home is set to launch which could see people living in a floating community on the Thames.

The Floating Eco home, designed by Danish design team, Sanitov, could be yours for around £2million.

Currently moored at St Katherine's Dock, the eco houseboat is spread over three floors and features an open-plan living area, rooftop jacuzzi, and downstairs open-plan bedroom, bathroom and shower area. All the materials used to create the eco home have been ethically and sustainably sourced.

The high-spec home currently comes fully equipped with top-of-the-range Samsung appliances, including the Eco Bubble washing machine, Dual Cook steam oven and NaviBot S - a new type of digital robot-style vacuum cleaner.

The Danish design team behind the eco home have already bought several moorings in Wandsworth where the floating community idea could thrive. The design idea is called Urdamonia - an urban project that advocates the use of the world's urban waterways in the creation of sustainable urban environments. So, if you're looking for a new way of city living, why not try out a floating eco home?
