Home to the well-known racecourse and super posh ladies' college, Cheltenham is packed with Regency properties and pretty residential streets. In January alone, over £15m-worth of property went under offer here through Knight Frank. Wowser!

 The town is famous for it's world-renowed racecourse which hosts the four-day Cheltenham Festival, featuring the Cheltenham Gold Cup \ Trevor Meeks

So how does your local area fare? Is it on the property hot list or the homes z-list? 

According to the survey, the second most popular area in the UK is Leamington Spa. Located in Warwickshire, the town has good transport links, easy access to the motorway network and a growing population of young professionals.

The popular commuter town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is number five on the list, with sales up 50% on last year. People are attracted to the area's outstanding schools, independent shops and restaurants, and plenty of nearby green space.

Tunbridge Wells in Kent was fifth on the list and features good transport links, making it an easy commute into London \ Tunbridge Wells Borough Council
