1970s-inspired hallway feature wall - groovy baby!

Feature walls have always been a favourite here at Housetohome, but this week there has been a definite shift amongst our bloggers towards bold statement wallpapers and vibrant new paint shades.

Over on Homeshoppingspy, Ellie has spied the new 'Vintage' collection from Crown. 30 new matt emulsions, ‘inspired by music, fashion, film, art and design from the 1940s to the 1980s' with retro names such as ‘Chelsea Girl' and ‘Free Love'. Groovy, man.

Meanwhile, on Country Days, Rhoda has posted a preview of the upcoming 'Retrospective' collection from Little Greene. With 32 vibrant shades inspired by the iconic colours of the mid-century, it's not available until September - but you can get a sneak peek by clicking here.

Finally, feature walls look great in unusual locations - why not try one in a kitchen? The team at Beautiful Kitchens are currently lusting after these gorgeous new metallic wallpapers by Sophie Conran for Arthouse. We'd love the black and silver number in a monochrome kitchen - what do you think? Leave a comment on the blog and let us know!
