Us Brits love it when we find a bargain, don't we? Whether it's cut-price groceries or discounted homewares, we're there in droves.
And if you love picking up a few items at Poundland on a Saturday (and we won't think badly of you if you do), then you'll be pleased to hear that a new online pound shop launched this week.
Poundland founder Steve Smith, who sold his share in the company in 2002, is to take the idea online, by launching a new website Poundshop.com.
The news seems to have sent potential bargain hunters into a spin, as the website, which launched yesterday, was struggling due to high web traffic.
As savvy shoppers will already know, the total cost of your online shopping depends on extra charges - and the expected delivery charge will be around £3.
Steve Smith is confident that the online store will be a success: 'The first few years we didn't make any money at Poundland. It's a bit like this. I suppose I'm the one person who can make it work.'
Another place to find great bargains is online homewares store Achica, where you'll find luxury lifestyle brands including Content by Conran, Anglepoise and Bodum, with up to 70% off.
Achica is now celebrating four years of being the UK's leading online store for stylish homewares at discount prices - and the website reached 3 million members in the past year.
'Achica has enjoyed four years in a market where there has been a strong demand for high quality and easily accessible homewares,' says Will Cooper, CEO and co-founder of Achica.
