Prince William's former nursery designers are reporting a rise in retro patterns and themed wallpaper - which, if the pregnancy rumours are true about Kate and Wills, could be the look the royals go for.
According to nursery design experts at Dragons of Walton Street, who created the nurseries for Princes William and Harry as well as a string of A-list stars, parents are choosing classic designs and playful patterns rather than modern looks.
Characters from their own childhood are now adorning the walls of their children's nursery, including Winnie the Pooh and Paddington Bear.
"It is obvious that the happiness we ourselves feel during childhood is a very strong pull when it comes to creating the perfect environment for our own child," said Dragons MD Lucinda Croft.
"The Jubilee and the Olympics is also inspiring a new love of everything British, patriotic and nostalgic because it gives a sense of stability, security and celebration."
