Pale pinks are bang on trend for summer following the Queen's appearance at Chelsea

The Queen is inspiring a nation of decorating junkies to give their home a colour refresh

After Her Maj stepped out in pale pink at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, leading paint retailer, Homebase has reported an increase in sales of their soft pink hue called Magical.

The company has seen a whooping increase of 115% in sales of the paint colour.

And it's not just the soft lilac shade that's inspiring homeowners. The Monarch's whole colour palette is sparking an interiors trend, with her other favourite pastel shades making their way onto the walls of the nations homes.

A colour specialist at Homebase has outlined several paints shades - inspired by the Queen - that are flying off the shelves. They include: Meadow (soft green), Magical (pink), Pale Duck Egg, Lemon Juice (calming yellow), Ballet (a delicate pink), Sky (pale blue) and Peach.
