Well, it beats a caravan in Bognor! Beyoncé and Jay-Z's £255k Hamptons holiday haven

Oh, how the other half live! While the rest of us content ourselves with a B&B in Blighty, Beyoncé and Jay-Z will be retreating to a lavish holiday home in the Hamptons.

The sprawling property is costing Beyoncé and Jay-Z £255k for one month. Bitter, us?

£255,000 ($400,000) is enough to buy most of us a family property or, at the very least, a (small) flat in London.

But for megastar couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z this is the princely sum they will be forking out to rent a lavish holiday home in the Hamptons, for just ONE month.

Sumptuously decorated in a palette of soft neutrals, the property comes complete with a virtual golf course, two-lane bowling alley, a rock-climbing wall, and of course, the obligatory recording studio.

The 31,000 square-foot property is the brainchild of super-developer, Joe Farrel and will be the young family's home-from-home during August.

And they'll be plenty to keep new daughter, Blue Ivy occupied, too. According to US property website, Corcoran the estate also boasts a children's performing area as well as a skateboard half-pipe and a 60-foot heated swimming pool.

And should the couple decide they wish to stay on at their lavish pied-à-terre, they could always buy the property which is on the market for a cool £28m ($43.5m).
