A hallway is a high-traffic area, and the first room that you enter when you come into the house, so the flooring needs to be hard-wearing and easy to clean. Here, slate flooring is ideal. Off-white walls and pale wood keep the whole area light and airy, and stop the dark tiles from overpowering the room.
