I am trying to track down the details of a company that makes mirrors to look like leaded doors which can be used in the garden. We have a gate like this already, but I have mislaid the name of the company that made it.
Looking Glass Gates uses mirrors to create the illusion of a wrought-iron gate. The mirrors are made of real glass (rather than acrylic) and the gate is, in fact, an image placed on top of the mirror, not an actual iron structure. They also have a silver foil backing to protect them from premature weathering. Attach it to a wall or fence or use it to cover an unsightly gate to give the impression that your garden is larger than it really is. Play with the position of the mirror to get the reflection right - it can really make all the difference to the final effect. Positioning pots and climbers around the mirror creates a more pleasing look and helps it to blend in with its surroundings. A standard garden mirror gate (pictured) costs £265. Bespoke designs and sizes are available on request.
