Peas grow really well in pots

Forget yards of trellising - peas can be the perfect pot-grown veg. Plus, with peas, you can eat the shoots and tendrils, too.

Go for dwarf varieties, such as Little Marvel or Tom Thumb, which won't need staking, and plant in well-fertilised, well-drained potting compost. Plant in late summer for an autumn harvest and keep well watered, but in full sun.
